Tehran, June 17, 2025: Israel has launched another attack on Iran, this time targeting the western region of the country, according to a report by Al Jazeera. The Israeli military confirmed that it conducted large-scale strikes in western Iran but provided no further details.
In retaliation, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) carried out missile strikes on Israel’s military intelligence directorate (Aman) and Mossad headquarters in Herzliya. The attack took place in the early hours of Tuesday. Iran’s state-run Mehr News Agency released a video showing flames engulfing Mossad’s headquarters following the missile strikes.
The IRGC confirmed the operation in a statement, stating that its Aerospace Force units successfully targeted Israel’s intelligence facilities, including Mossad and Aman headquarters, despite advanced air defense systems. The strikes reportedly caused significant damage, with fires still burning at Mossad’s destroyed center.
The IRGC described the attack as part of its ongoing “True Promise-3” operation, aimed at delivering a “precise and painful blow” in response to Israel’s recent attacks on Iranian cities and infrastructure.
The tit-for-tat strikes have further escalated tensions in the Middle East, with analysts urging international intervention to de-escalate the situation.
