Kuala Lumpur, August 8, 2025 – The Malaysian government has launched multiple-entry visas (MEVs) for Bangladeshi workers, effective from Friday, August 8, 2025. According to the Malaysian Home Ministry, this initiative will streamline the movement of migrant workers and reduce the misuse of immigration passes, as reported by Free Malaysia Today, an independent news portal. The Home Ministry clarified that Bangladeshi workers currently holding temporary work visit passes (PLKS) and single-entry visas will not need to apply separately for MEVs. The Immigration Department will coordinate the issuance of MEVs at international entry points as part of the process for extending PLKS for the next year. This measure aims to improve the management of migrant worker traffic, minimize immigration pass misuse, and reduce congestion for new visa applications at Malaysian missions abroad.
