Pakistan’s Commerce Minister Kamal Khan is set to arrive in Dhaka on Thursday, August 21, for a four-day visit aimed at strengthening economic ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
A government official revealed that preliminary discussions for the minister’s visit took place in June, but it was postponed due to various reasons. The visit is now being realized.
According to sources, preparations are underway for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a Joint Working Group between the commerce ministries of Pakistan and Bangladesh. However, the MoU is likely to be signed next week during the visit of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to Dhaka.
