The National University of Malaysia, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), will confer an honorary doctorate degree on Professor Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser of Bangladesh’s interim government. The degree will be awarded during his visit to Malaysia on August 13.
In a press briefing on Sunday, Shah Asif Rahman, Director General of Malaysia’s Foreign Ministry, announced that UKM will honor the Chief Adviser with the prestigious degree.
Rahman further stated that on the third day of his visit (August 13), Professor Yunus will have a courtesy meeting with UKM Chancellor and the Ruler of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Munawir.
