Thirty more Bangladeshis have been deported from the United States on allegations of illegal stay. Among them, 29 are male and one is a female migrant.
The flight carrying them landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday (September 4). None of the deported migrants spoke to the media upon their return.
So far, a total of 187 Bangladeshi expatriates have been sent back from the US in three phases.
After assuming office for his second term as US President, Donald Trump intensified operations to deport undocumented immigrants. As part of this initiative, citizens from various countries, including Bangladesh, are being repatriated.
