West Indies to Tour Bangladesh in October for T20 and ODI Series

Dhaka: The West Indies cricket team is set to tour Bangladesh in October for a series of three T20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals, as outlined in the ICC’s Future Tours Programme (FTP). While the exact dates are yet to be finalized, both the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Cricket West Indies have exchanged emails to draft a tentative schedule.

The West Indies, led by Shai Hope and Roston Chase, are expected to arrive on October 15 for the 17-day tour, which will conclude on November 2. A BCB director, speaking anonymously, confirmed that the series will commence with the T20 matches, with the schedule and venues to be finalized in a board meeting today.

All T20 matches are planned for Sylhet to aid preparations for the 2026 T20 World Cup, while the three ODIs will be held at Mirpur. Following the West Indies tour, Ireland is scheduled to visit Bangladesh starting November 7 for a 27-day, three-format series, including Tests, ODIs, and T20Is.
