Gopalganj District Awami League General Secretary Arrested

Sharsha (Jessore), June 10, 2025: The General Secretary of Gopalganj District Awami League, GM Shahabuddin Azam, was arrested by the Immigration Police while attempting to flee to India. He was detained on Tuesday morning around 11 AM from the Sharsha border area in Jessore.

According to sources, GM Shahabuddin Azam was trying to cross the border illegally. The Immigration Police, acting on a tip-off, apprehended him during the attempt. The incident has sparked widespread discussion in the area.
