International Desk, June 14, 2025, : Tel Aviv, Israel – A massive missile attack by Iran on Israel late Friday night (June 13) has resulted in significant damage and casualties, Israeli authorities confirmed. Over 100 ballistic missiles were launched, targeting multiple regions, including Tel Aviv, forcing residents to scramble for shelter. The night sky was illuminated with streaks of light and fireballs as Israel’s defense systems intercepted incoming projectiles.
According to Israeli officials, more than 60 people were injured in the assault, with one woman succumbing to severe injuries. The Times of Israel reported one other person critically injured, several with moderate injuries, and the rest suffering minor wounds or acute anxiety. Most of the seriously injured were not in shelters during the attack, media reports noted. All injured individuals have been admitted to hospitals for treatment.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) estimated that fewer than 100 missiles were fired, contrary to Iranian media claims of launching hundreds. Several missiles struck central Israel, with loud explosions heard in Tel Aviv and plumes of smoke rising from impact sites. The IDF’s Home Front Command rescued a civilian from a building in Tel Aviv hit by a ballistic missile, while rescue operations continue in other cities.
Israeli authorities acknowledged ongoing missile launches from Iran and stated that efforts to intercept projectiles and assist victims are underway. The attack has heightened tensions in the region, with Israel vowing to take all necessary measures to protect its citizens.
