BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi expressed hope that messages from BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairperson Tarique Rahman would be featured during the party’s program marking the anniversary of the July-August mass uprising. He shared these remarks during a press conference following a meeting of the Discipline Committee at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre on Monday afternoon.
Rizvi stated, “Tomorrow, July 1, as we observe the anniversary of the July-August mass uprising, we expect messages from BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairperson Tarique Rahman to be part of the program. We believe this event will be highly successful and dignified.” He added that national leaders, representatives from like-minded political parties, and members of martyr families will attend the program.
Addressing the party workers tasked with maintaining discipline, Rizvi urged them to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity. “You must treat the invited leaders, members of martyr families, and families of those who were killed or disappeared with respect and ensure they are seated appropriately,” he said. Rizvi also called for cooperation from party activists to make the program a success.
The meeting was attended by Discipline Committee Convener Sultan Salauddin Tuku, Member Secretary Aminul Haque, Management Committee Member Secretary Professor Dr. Morshed Hasan Khan, BNP Joint Secretary General Abdus Salam Azad, Amra BNP Paribar Convener Journalist Atikur Rahman Rumon, BNP Health Affairs Secretary Dr. Rafiqul Islam, Dr. Jahangir Alam, and leaders from various sub-committees.
