Two Deaths, 18 New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Last 24 Hours

 

Dhaka, June 17, 2025: In the past 24 hours, two individuals have succumbed to COVID-19 in the country, while 18 new cases of the virus have been detected. This information was released in a regular press bulletin by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Tuesday, June 17.

According to the bulletin, of the two deceased, one was male and the other female. One was aged between 41 and 50 years, while the other was between 71 and 80 years. So far this year, a total of seven deaths have been reported due to COVID-19, with 331 individuals testing positive for the virus.
The DGHS further stated that between 8:00 AM on Monday (June 16) and 8:00 AM on Tuesday (June 17), 372 samples were tested, resulting in a positivity rate of 5.77 percent. Health authorities have urged the public to adhere to health guidelines to curb the spread of the virus.
