On Wednesday, the ICC released the latest rankings updates across men’s cricket formats, reflecting standout performances from the Australia-South Africa, Pakistan-West Indies, and New Zealand-Zimbabwe series. Brevis, previously outside the top 100 in T20I batting, skyrocketed 80 spots to 21st after his ninth T20I match.
Other notable movers include Australia’s Tim David, who climbed six spots to break into the top 10 for the first time, Cameron Green (up six to 17th), South Africa’s Tristan Stubbs (up 12 to 28th), and Ryan Rickelton (up 45 to 81st). India’s Abhishek Sharma remains the top-ranked T20I batter, followed by Tilak Varma and Phil Salt, each moving up one spot to second and third, respectively. In T20I bowling, Jacob Duffy, Adil Rashid, and Akeal Hosein hold the top three spots.
South Africa’s young pacer Kwena Maphaka made a massive leap, jumping 61 places to 91st. Australia’s Ben Dwarshuis surged 60 spots to 61st, while Lungi Ngidi (up 14 to 50th) and Kagiso Rabada (up 15 to 44th) also climbed. In ODI batting, Babar Azam slipped one spot to third, with Rohit Sharma moving up to second and Shubman Gill retaining the top spot. West Indies’ Evin Lewis (up nine) and Pakistan’s Abdullah Shafique (up seven) also improved.
In ODI bowling, West Indies’ spinner Gudakesh Motie rose five places to 12th, and Jayden Seales jumped 24 spots to 33rd. Maheesh Theekshana, Kuldeep Yadav, and Keshav Maharaj remain the top three ODI bowlers. In Test batting, Rachin Ravindra (up 15 to 23rd), Devon Conway (up seven to 37th), and Henry Nicholls (up six to 47th) made gains, with Joe Root, Harry Brook, and Kane Williamson leading the rankings.
In Test bowling, Jasprit Bumrah and Kagiso Rabada share the top spot, while Matt Henry moved up one to third, pushing Pat Cummins down to fourth.
