A delegation from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) held a meeting with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, who is currently on a visit to Bangladesh.
The meeting commenced at 6:30 PM on Saturday (August 23) at the Pakistan Embassy in Dhaka, according to sources from BNP’s media cell.
The BNP delegation was led by the party’s Secretary General, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. Other members included BNP Standing Committee members Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Begum Selima Rahman, BNP Vice Chairman Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Altaf Hossain Chowdhury, and BNP Organizing Secretary Shama Obaid.
Earlier, around 2:00 PM, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Dhaka for a three-day official visit at the invitation of the Bangladesh government. The visit was announced by Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry on Friday (August 22) afternoon.
During his stay in Dhaka, the Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister is scheduled to hold important meetings with Bangladesh’s interim government Chief Adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain, and other leaders.
These meetings will cover a wide range of bilateral relations as well as discussions on significant regional and international issues.
