The altercation began when the 11th-grade student confronted his mathematics teacher about receiving 18 out of 20 marks in an exam, despite providing correct answers. The teacher explained that the two marks were deducted because the student did not demonstrate the expected level of improvement, a grading practice also followed by other teachers. She advised him to discuss the matter with other faculty members.
After speaking with other teachers, the student returned to the classroom and demanded that his marks be increased. When the teacher refused, the student, in a fit of rage, kicked a desk. Minutes later, he demanded an apology from the teacher. Upon her refusal, he proceeded to attack her, delivering a series of kicks, punches, and slaps.
According to the *Bangkok Post*, the assault left the teacher with a black eye and injuries to her head and other parts of her body. The student was subsequently expelled from the school, and the teacher filed a complaint with the police.
