Bangladesh Army Chief Embarks on Official Visit to Qatar

Dhaka, May 3, 2025: General Waiqar-uz-Zaman, Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh, departed for an official visit to Qatar on Saturday, May 3, as confirmed by a press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

During the visit, General Waiqar-uz-Zaman is scheduled to hold courtesy meetings with Qatar’s senior military and civilian officials. The visit aims to foster bilateral cooperation, with discussions focused on strengthening ties between the armed forces of both nations.
The Army Chief is expected to return to Bangladesh on May 5, 2025, upon completion of the visit.
Prior to this, General Waiqar-uz-Zaman undertook official visits to Russia on April 6 and Croatia on April 10, 2025.
