Jeddah, April 29, 2025: The first Hajj flight from Bangladesh (BG-3501) carrying 414 pilgrims arrived at King Abdul Aziz International Airport’s Hajj Terminal in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at 7:30 AM local time on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
The Bangladeshi pilgrims were warmly welcomed by Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mohammad Delwar Hossain, at the airport. Also present were Consul General of Bangladesh in Jeddah, Mia Mohammad Mainul Kabir, and Counselor of the Bangladesh Hajj Mission, Mohammad Zahirul Islam.
The delegation was joined by Saudi officials, including Engineer Mazen Jawahar, Advisor to Saudi Civil Aviation, and Salman Al Belabi, Director of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, along with other officials.
Ambassador Hossain extended his best wishes to the pilgrims and assured them that the Bangladesh Embassy, Consulate, and Hajj Mission would provide full support during their stay. The pilgrims expressed gratitude for the warm reception and commended the efficient arrangements at the airport.
This year, a total of 87,100 Bangladeshi pilgrims are expected to perform the holy Hajj.
