In Mymensingh a show cause notice has been issued by Additional District Magistrate Umme Habiba Meera regarding the continuous publication of identical news with the same headline in 13 regional daily and weekly newspapers.
On **April 16, 2025, the notice was issued to the editors and publishers of the concerned newspapers under Memo No. 05.45.6100,005,27.001.24-10. The administration observed that the same news with the same headline was published on **March 30, April 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13**, raising concerns.
The editors and publishers have been instructed to appear in person within five working days to explain the reason behind the repeated publication. Failure to comply will result in actions as per regulations.
