The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecasted storms with wind speeds of up to 60 km/h in 14 regions, including Dhaka, by midnight. This warning remains in effect until 1:00 am on Monday, April 14.
The affected regions include Rajshahi, Pabna, Faridpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, and Sylhet. Temporary gusty or squally winds from the west/northwest direction, accompanied by rain or thunderstorms, are expected in these areas. River ports in these regions have been advised to hoist cautionary signal No. 1.
Meanwhile, mild heatwaves are currently sweeping over Moulvibazar, Chittagong, Rangamati, Feni, Cox’s Bazar, Bandarban, and Patuakhali. The Meteorological Department anticipates that these heatwaves may subside in some areas within the next 24 hours.
