The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a warning of potential storms in Dhaka and 10 other regions by 9 AM on Thursday, May 1, 2025. River ports in these areas have been instructed to display a No. 1 cautionary signal.
Meteorologist Dr. Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik provided this forecast on Wednesday, April 30. According to the weather office, regions including Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Cumilla, Jessore, Satkhira, and Sylhet may experience temporary gusty or stormy winds from the west/northwest at speeds of 45-60 km/h, accompanied by rain or thunderstorms.
