The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a warning for 17 regions, including Dhaka, where stormy winds** with speeds of up to 60 km/h may occur. These areas are expected to experience thunderstorms and rain, prompting authorities to issue a Level 1 warning for river ports.
According to meteorologist Md. Omar Faruq, by 1 AM tonight, strong winds ranging from 45 to 60 km/h may sweep across Rangpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Kushtia, Jashore, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Cumilla, Noakhali, Chattogram, and Sylhet. These areas may experience temporary rain or thunderstorms.
The BMD has advised river ports to display Level 1 warning signals. Authorities have urged boats and vessels to exercise caution, and residents in affected areas should remain alert to avoid any potential hazards.
