Seoul, May 26, 2025: The Bangladesh Embassy in Seoul organized a vibrant event to commemorate the birth anniversaries of two iconic figures of Bengali literature and culture, Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam, on Sunday, May 25, 2025. The celebration, held at the embassy premises, was organized in line with the directives of Bangladesh’s Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event featured captivating performances of music and dance, paying tribute to the legacy of these two literary giants. In his address, Bangladesh Ambassador to South Korea, Taufiq Islam Shatil, highlighted the monumental contributions of Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam in advancing Bengali literature and shaping the Bangladeshi national identity. He emphasized the importance of promoting the Bengali language and culture among the diaspora, urging the Bangladeshi community in South Korea to actively engage in cultural practices.
