National Desk | May 5, 2025 : A 17-year-old Bangladeshi teenager, Sakib, was killed, and a 35-year-old Indian citizen, Sujon Barman, was injured in a shooting by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at the Kasba border in Brahmanbaria on Sunday night.
Sakib, son of Motalleb Hossain from Madla Guchchhagram in Bayek Union, succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning while undergoing treatment at Cumilla Medical College Hospital. The incident occurred late Sunday night at the Madla border area, according to local sources.
Kasba Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Kader confirmed that both the Bangladeshi teenager and the Indian citizen were shot by BSF personnel. Local residents rushed the injured Sakib to Cumilla for medical treatment, but he could not be saved.
