Dhaka, June 25, 2025: In the 24 hours from Tuesday 8 AM to Wednesday 8 AM, 326 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country, while two more deaths were reported due to the disease. This information was shared in a press release issued by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wednesday.
According to the release, the highest number of new admissions was recorded in Barishal Division, with 118 cases. Additionally, 43 patients were admitted in Chattogram Division, 43 in Dhaka Division (outside city corporations), 45 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 26 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 16 in Khulna Division, 29 in Rajshahi Division, 5 in Mymensingh Division, and 1 in Sylhet Division.
In the same period, 319 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals. So far this year, a total of 7,749 patients have been discharged. As of June 25, 2025, the total number of dengue cases in the country stands at 8,870, with 36 deaths recorded, according to DGHS data.
The DGHS has urged the public to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and raise awareness to prevent the spread of dengue.
