Internatinal Desk : In a recent operation in Nablus and Jenin in the occupied West Bank, the Israeli military attacked a bus carrying Hajj pilgrims. According to a report by Turkey’s Anadolu Agency, on Saturday (May 31), Israeli forces conducted raids across multiple locations in the West Bank. During the operation in Jenin, a military vehicle deliberately struck a bus preparing to transport pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for Hajj.
The majority of the passengers were elderly and suffering from chronic illnesses. The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that the Israeli military vehicle intentionally hit the bus. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Jenin's Deputy Governor, Mansour Al-Saadi, strongly condemned the attack, stating, “The occupying forces deliberately struck the bus. The passengers, many of whom were elderly and ill, were left traumatized by the incident.”
The report further noted that two Palestinians were detained during the raids. Palestinians typically travel abroad via Jordan due to the numerous restrictions imposed by Israel on international travel from the West Bank.
