The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) conducted a raid at Gangni Women’s Degree College in Meherpur on allegations of forgery involving the college principal, Khorshed Ali. The accusations claim that the principal used falsified age and educational certificates to retain his position.
On Tuesday (June 24), around 12 PM, a team led by Assistant Director Bulbul Ahmed from the ACC’s Kushtia Regional Office carried out the operation. During the raid, ACC officials thoroughly examined various documents at the college.
According to ACC sources, complaints were lodged alleging that Principal Khorshed Ali has been holding the position for a long time by falsified age details and forged educational certificates. Based on these allegations, the ACC team visited the college for an on-site investigation.
Assistant Director Bulbul Ahmed stated that the investigation is ongoing, with necessary information and evidence being collected. If the allegations are substantiated, appropriate legal action will be taken in due course.
Meanwhile, Principal Khorshed Ali is currently on leave. Attempts to contact him via mobile phone were unsuccessful, as he could not be reached.
