Tehran, June 16, 2025 – In response to recent Israeli attacks, Iran has launched a series of "suicide drones" targeting Israeli positions, as reported by Tasnim News Agency. The strikes are part of Iran’s retaliation for Israeli aggression that resulted in the deaths of dozens of Iranians, including military personnel, a nuclear scientist, and civilians.
Brigadier General Kioumars Heidari, Commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Forces, stated that over the past 48 hours, the military deployed several dozen suicide drones, including the advanced “Arash” model with a 2,000-kilometer range, to strike Israeli targets. The operations were conducted in coordination with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force, which has been launching ballistic missiles against Israel since Friday.
Iran’s latest retaliatory strikes began early Monday, with IRGC-fired hypersonic ballistic missiles hitting targets in Tel Aviv, Haifa, and cities in the central and northern occupied territories, such as Bnei Brak. The escalation marks a significant intensification of hostilities between Iran and Israel.
