Dhaka, June 18, 2025: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia left her residence for a routine medical checkup at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka’s Bashundhara Residential Area. She departed from her Gulshan residence, Firoza, at 6:39 PM on Wednesday, June 18.
The visit was confirmed earlier in the day by Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP’s media cell. Khaleda Zia has been dealing with multiple health issues, including arthritis, diabetes, and cardiac problems, which have required periodic medical attention. She has been admitted to Evercare Hospital on several occasions in the past for treatment and checkups.
According to BNP sources, this visit is part of her routine health monitoring. Further details regarding her health condition are expected to be shared by her medical team after the checkup.
