June 11, 2025 : The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a warning for potential storms with wind speeds of up to 60 km/h in nine regions of the country by Wednesday night (June 11, 2025). Accompanied by possible thunderstorms and rain, the affected areas include Faridpur, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, and Sylhet. The weather forecast, signed by meteorologist Dr. Md. Omar Faruk, indicates that gusty winds from the south/southeast may bring temporary rain or thunderstorms. River ports in these regions have been instructed to display cautionary signal number one.
- Thursday, June 12, 2025: By 9 AM, some areas in Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, along with a few places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions, may experience light to moderate rain or thunderstorms with gusty winds. Moderate to heavy rainfall is possible in parts of Chattogram.
- Friday, June 13, 2025: From 9 AM, some areas in Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet, and a few places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Dhaka divisions, may see light to moderate rain or thunderstorms with gusty winds. Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in some parts of the country, with a slight decrease in day and night temperatures.
- Saturday, June 14, 2025: From 9 AM, many areas in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, and some places in Rajshahi, may experience light to moderate rain or thunderstorms with gusty winds. Moderate to heavy rainfall is possible in parts of the country, with temperatures likely to remain stable.
- Sunday, June 15, 2025: From 9 AM, many areas in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, and some places in Rajshahi, may see light to moderate rain or thunderstorms with gusty winds. Moderate to heavy rainfall, and in some areas very heavy rainfall, is expected, with a slight decrease in temperatures.
