The group stage draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will take place in Las Vegas on December 5, 2025, according to ESPN. The tournament, which will feature 48 teams for the first time, will commence on June 11, 2026, across 16 cities in the three host countries.
ESPN and TUDN Mexico reported that several cities in Canada and Mexico were considered for hosting the draw, but Las Vegas was ultimately chosen. Pedro Cedillo, an executive from the Mexican club Pachuca, who is promoting Mexico as a training camp base for World Cup teams, recently told ESPN, “If I’m not mistaken, the draw will take place on December 5 or early December. I believe it will be in Vegas, and we need to be there to present information about Pachuca.”
