Bangladesh Announces Strong Squad for AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers

The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) announced a robust 23-member squad on Thursday for the upcoming AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers, set to take place in Laos next month. The squad was unveiled by head coach Peter Butler at the BFF House in Dhaka.

The Bangladesh women’s football team has been navigating a busy schedule, having recently competed in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers in Myanmar and the SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship. Now, their focus shifts to the AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers, with the team set to depart for Laos on August 2.

Coach Butler has retained full confidence in the SAFF-winning squad, selecting the same team for the Asian Cup Qualifiers. The squad includes nine players from the senior national team who also participated in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers. Bangladesh faces a challenging Group H, comprising strong opponents South Korea, hosts Laos, and Timor-Leste.
