India to Increase Visa Processing Fee from August 10

India has announced an increase in its visa processing fee by 700 Taka, effective from August 10. The Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) issued a notification confirming this change.

Previously, the visa application fee was 800 Taka. According to IVAC, due to a significant rise in material and operational costs in recent years, the visa processing fee for applications submitted at the Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) in Bangladesh will be revised to 1,500 Taka (all-inclusive) starting August 10. This processing fee is a service charge imposed by IVAC to facilitate visa application processing.

IVAC stated that this is the first revision of the visa processing fee since 2018, and it is necessary to maintain service quality and infrastructural improvements. As per existing policy, the Government of India does not charge any visa fee for Bangladeshi citizens, and Indian visas will continue to remain free of cost for all Bangladeshi nationals.
