Government Agrees to Meet Six Demands of Milestone Students

Dhaka, July 22, 2025 – The government has accepted the six-point demands of the students of Milestone School and College, as confirmed by Law Adviser Asif Nazrul. The announcement was made around 12:45 PM on Tuesday in front of the college’s Building No. 5.

The students began gathering at the roundabout in front of Milestone School and College from 10:00 AM, protesting with their six demands following a tragic plane crash that resulted in loss of lives. They demanded the publication of the accurate names and details of the deceased, a comprehensive list of the injured, a public apology for alleged misconduct by teachers at the crash site, compensation for the families of the deceased, the replacement of old and risky aircraft with new and safer ones, and reforms to make the air force’s training system and areas safer and more humane.

During the protest, the students announced that if no government representative engaged with them by 12:30 PM, they would block the road in front of the Uttara BNS Center. Following this, Law Adviser Asif Nazrul addressed the students, confirming that their demands had been accepted. **The Six Demands of the Students:** 1. Publish the accurate names and identities of those killed in the accident. 2. Release a complete and accurate list of the injured. 3. Issue a public, unconditional apology for the alleged physical assault by teachers at the incident site. 4. Provide compensation from the air force to the families of each deceased student. 5. Cancel old and risky aircraft used by the air force and introduce new, safer planes. 6. Reorganize the air force’s training system and areas to ensure they are humane and safe.
