Israel Reports 120 Trucks of Aid Delivered to Gaza on First Day of Ceasefire

Jerusalem, July 28, 2025 (AFP) – Israel announced on Monday that over 120 trucks carrying food aid were collected and distributed by the United Nations and other humanitarian organizations in the Gaza Strip on the first day of a partial ceasefire.

On Sunday, Israel declared a "tactical" pause in military operations in parts of Gaza, pledging to open safe routes for aid delivery and urging humanitarian groups to scale up food distribution efforts.

The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), a body under Israel’s Defense Ministry overseeing civilian affairs in the Palestinian territories, stated in a post on X on Monday: “Yesterday, the United Nations and international organizations collected and distributed over 120 trucks of aid.”
