Earlier in the day, students began protesting in front of the main gate of the Secretariat in Dhaka, demanding the resignation of both the Education Advisor and the Education Secretary. As a result, all entry points to the Secretariat were closed, leading to a complete halt of vehicular movement on the roads in front of the Secretariat.
Around 3:45 PM, agitating students demanding the resignation of the Education Advisor and Secretary entered the Secretariat premises. Law enforcement agencies attempted to stop them, leading to a chase and counter-chase between the two sides.
