11 Expatriates, Including Five Women, Arrested in Saudi Arabia on Prostitution Charges

In a crackdown on illegal activities, Saudi authorities have arrested 11 expatriates, including five women, on suspicion of involvement in prostitution in the southern city of Najran. The Saudi authorities have not disclosed the nationalities of the arrested individuals.

According to a report by the *Saudi Gazette*, the arrests were made in a residential apartment in Najran, where the suspects were allegedly engaged in prostitution. The group consists of six men and five women.

The operation was conducted through a coordinated effort involving the Najran Police’s Special Tasks and Duties Force, the General Directorate of Community Security, and the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit. Legal proceedings against the arrested individuals are underway. Saudi authorities stated that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to curb activities that violate public morality and combat human trafficking. In conservative Saudi Arabia, prostitution, illicit relationships, and human trafficking are considered serious crimes. Convicted individuals may face imprisonment, hefty fines, deportation in the case of expatriates, and other penalties.
Over the past few years, the Saudi government has implemented stringent measures to combat human trafficking and prostitution, including undercover surveillance, special operations, and strict legal procedures. The Najran police emphasized that this arrest is a continuation of those efforts.
