Bad News for Neymar Again

Neymar has suffered a major setback ahead of Brazil’s national team squad announcement. On Thursday (August 21), the star footballer sustained a severe thigh injury during Santos’ training session. Medical examinations revealed edema in his thigh, casting doubt on his inclusion in the Brazil squad, which head coach Carlo Ancelotti is set to announce tomorrow.

Santos has already informed the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) about the situation. The club’s medical team has begun Neymar’s treatment, aiming to prepare him for the upcoming match against Fluminense on August 31. However, missing out on Ancelotti’s first Brazil squad would be a significant blow for the star player. Neymar last donned the Brazil jersey in October 2023 during a World Cup qualifier.
