Fire Breaks Out at Sundarban Square Market in Gulistan, 11 Fire Service Units Deployed

A fire broke out at Sundarban Square Market in Dhaka’s Gulistan area. Eleven units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence are currently working to bring the blaze under control.

The fire started on the fifth floor of the market around 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 2. The cause of the fire and details regarding casualties or damages are yet to be confirmed.

According to Fire Service sources, the first unit arrived at the scene at 10:03 AM and began efforts to control the fire. Subsequently, 10 additional units joined, making a total of 11 units working to extinguish the blaze. Talha Bin Jasim, an officer from the Fire Service’s Media Cell, stated, “Eleven units of the Fire Service are working to put out the fire. We have not yet determined the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage. There are also no reports of casualties so far. More details will be provided later.”
