In the afternoon, Ishaq Dar is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on the Chief Adviser of the interim government, Professor Muhammad Yunus. In the evening, he will visit the residence of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia in Gulshan.
On the first day of his visit, Dar held separate meetings with leaders of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Jamaat-e-Islami, and the National Citizens Party (NCP). During these meetings, he discussed strengthening bilateral relations in various areas, including political cooperation. Sources indicate that Dar expressed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing ties based on mutual respect and shared interests.
Dar arrived in Dhaka on Saturday for a two-day visit via a special Pakistan Air Force flight, landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 2:00 PM. He was welcomed by Foreign Secretary Asad Alam. In the afternoon, Dar began his engagements with political parties at the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka.
