Chinle, Arizona, August 6, 2025: A medical transport plane crashed shortly after takeoff in Arizona’s Navajo Nation, resulting in the deaths of all four passengers on board, according to a statement by the Navajo Nation authorities. The incident was reported by the US-based news agency Associated Press (AP).
The aircraft, a Beechcraft King Air 300 operated by CSI Aviation, a private aviation company based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was en route to pick up a critically ill patient from a nearby hospital. The plane was scheduled to return to Albuquerque after retrieving the patient. However, shortly after takeoff, the aircraft crashed and caught fire, killing all four occupants, including two pilots and two medical personnel. The patient’s location and condition remain unknown
This marks another tragic incident involving a medical transport plane in the US. In January, a similar crash in Philadelphia claimed eight lives, with the NTSB noting that the plane’s voice recorder was inoperative.
