Woman Arrested After Eight Marriages, Attempting Ninth

In a shocking case from Nagpur, Maharashtra, a woman has been arrested by the police for allegedly marrying eight times and attempting a ninth marriage. The accused, identified as Samira Fatima, was apprehended while searching for her next target.

According to the police, Samira targeted wealthy men, married them, and then blackmailed them to extort large sums of money. Initial investigations reveal that she amassed lakhs of rupees through this scheme. Authorities suspect she is part of an organized gang that assisted her in extorting money from her husbands.

What makes this case particularly alarming is that Samira is an educated woman and a teacher by profession, yet she engaged in such deceitful activities. Police believe she may have been victimizing people for the past 15 years. In one instance, she reportedly extorted 50 lakh rupees from one of her husbands and 15 lakh rupees from another. Samira used matrimonial websites and Facebook to find her targets. She would pose as a divorced woman with a child, luring men with emotional manipulation before trapping them in marriage.
The arrest took place on July 29 at a tea stall in Nagpur, bringing an end to her alleged spree of fraudulent marriages.
