To ensure the safety of students and prevent any untoward incidents during the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) election, the university authorities have prohibited outsiders from staying in the residential halls. This restriction also applies to guests.
On Tuesday (September 2), a directive was issued in a notice signed by the Chief Returning Officer of the DUCSU and Hall Parliament Election (2025), Professor Dr. Mohammad Jasim Uddin.
The notice states that, in view of the DUCSU and Hall Parliament elections, no outsiders or guests, except valid students, will be allowed to stay in the residential halls of Dhaka University (DU) starting from Tuesday, September 2.
