Six Months Awami League, Six Months BNP": Controversy Erupts Over Actress Apu Biswas' Political Switch

Actress Apu Biswas, who was long associated with Awami League politics and had aspired for a nomination from the party, has sparked controversy by appearing on a BNP platform. The move has not been taken lightly by many in the entertainment industry, leading to widespread discussion and criticism. Both BNP and members of the showbiz community have condemned the incident.

This time, actress Parimani has stirred the pot on social media with her remarks. She commented, "Six months Awami League, six months BNP."

On Friday (September 5) evening, Parimani wrote on Facebook, "It used to be six months Hindu, six months Muslim. Now it’s six months Awami League, six months BNP. Didi has shown us what an opportunist looks like. What a thing!" Although Parimani did not mention the name in her status, her followers revealed the identity in their comments. It is known that on September 4, Apu Biswas attended a BNP event marking the party's 47th founding anniversary at Janipur Government Secondary School ground in Khoksa Upazila, Kushtia. The event included a showdown, feast, and cultural program. Actor Nirab Hossain was also present alongside her.
Notably, during the previous government’s tenure, Apu Biswas was a regular participant in Awami League’s election campaigns. Her recent appearance at a BNP event has now sparked fresh controversy.
