Bangladesh Sends 725 Armed Forces Personnel to Qatar—Strengthening Bilateral Ties

 

Doha, April 23: Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has expressed gratitude to the Qatari government for accepting Bangladesh’s proposal to send 725 armed forces personnel on deputation to the Qatari Armed Forces. 

On Wednesday (April 23), during a sideline meeting at the Earthna Summit in Doha, the Chief Adviser met with Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman bin Hassan Al-Thani. 

During the meeting, the Chief Adviser thanked Qatar’s leadership for embracing this initiative, emphasizing that both nations would benefit professionally from the arrangement. He expressed optimism that this collaboration would strengthen ties between the armed forces and deepen bilateral relations. 

He assured that Bangladesh’s armed forces, with their three decades of experience in UN peacekeeping missions, would bring their discipline and professionalism to contribute effectively to Qatar’s military operations.
