Chief Adviser Pays Tribute-to-Late Pope Francis at St.Peter

Dhaka, April 25, 2025

Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of the interim government, visited St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City to pay his respects to the late Pope Francis. The body of the late Pope has been laid in state with full honors at the Basilica ahead of the funeral rites.
The information was shared in a press release issued by the Chief Adviser’s press wing on Friday, April 25.
Pope Francis was a great admirer of Professor Yunus’ work, particularly his initiatives for marginalized communities worldwide and his visionary “Three Zero” concept—aiming for zero unemployment, zero poverty, and zero carbon emissions. The late Pope frequently praised these efforts.
In 2006, Pope Francis collaborated with the Nobel Peace Prize laureate to launch the “Three Zero Initiative” in Vatican City.
