Dhaka: Workers of Kohinoor Chemical Company staged a road blockade in Tejgaon, Dhaka, protesting alleged derogatory remarks made about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by a fellow Hindu worker. The blockade began at 2:45 PM on Tuesday, April 22, in front of Nabisco.
Inspector Bikash Sarkar of Tejgaon Industrial Police stated that the workers took to the streets after accusations surfaced against one of their colleagues. Despite police efforts to negotiate, the workers refused to lift the blockade.
The protest has caused severe traffic congestion in Tejgaon and surrounding areas, leading to significant inconvenience for commuters and drivers.
