International Desk: Qatar has announced plans to recruit 725 military personnel from Bangladesh to serve in various sectors.
The information was confirmed by Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam, during the ongoing Arthan Summit in Qatar on Tuesday, April 22.
Shafiqul Alam stated that Bangladeshi military personnel have been stationed in Kuwait for years, and Qatar similarly aims to recruit personnel from Bangladesh on a regular basis.
Every three years, 725 personnel will be recruited, with efforts underway to increase this number.
He expressed optimism that Bangladesh will be able to send the first batch of personnel within the next two months.
Meanwhile, a high-level delegation led by Bangladesh's interim government Chief Adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, is currently in Doha to attend the Arthan Summit, engaging in discussions on key issues.
