Israel's Ongoing Assault on Gaza Claims 92 Lives in Two Days

The Israeli military has intensified its offensive in the besieged Gaza Strip, killing 92 people in the last two days. According to the latest update from the Gaza Ministry of Health on Saturday (April 19), alongside the fatalities, 219 others were injured, many of whom were rushed to hospitals for urgent treatment.

With the recent deaths, the total number of Palestinians killed in Gaza since the beginning of Israeli attacks on October 7, 2023, has reached 51,157. Additionally, the conflict has left 116,724 others wounded.

A brief ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel was established in January this year, offering hope to civilians suffering under relentless bombardment. However, Israeli forces resumed their attacks on March 18, violating the terms of the ceasefire and plunging Gaza back into violence and despair.

From April 18 to 19 alone, another 1,783 people have reportedly been killed in Israeli airstrikes. Although discussions for a renewed ceasefire have been initiated, there has been little progress, while the death toll continues to rise each day.
