The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has announced the temporary closure of the road from Khilkhet to Kuril-Bashundhara for 29 hours due to utility relocation work for the MRT Line-1 metro rail project.
The road will remain inaccessible from April 17 at 7 PM to April 18 at midnight, and drivers are strongly advised to use alternative routes during this period.
The Project Director of Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (Line-1), Md. Abul Kasem Bhuiyan, confirmed this in an official press statement
To ensure smooth traffic flow, commuters are requested to make a U-turn near Radisson Hotel to access Kuril Flyover or other available roads.
Authorities believe that successful completion of the project will significantly improve Dhaka’s public transport system The MRT Line-1 is expected to play a crucial role in reducing traffic congestion and modernizing transportation in the capital.
