Visa Fraud: Over 500 Egyptian Pilgrims Detained in Saudi Arabia**

Saudi authorities have detained over 500 Egyptian pilgrims at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah for attempting to perform Hajj using transit and visit visas instead of official Hajj visas

Strict Regulations by Saudi Arabia:  Saudi officials emphasized that only pilgrims with valid Hajj visas will be allowed to participate. Those with incorrect visas will be detained and deported.

Following the incident, Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism issued a warning, urging citizens not to trust unauthorized individuals or agencies offering unofficial pilgrimage packages.

Hajj is one of Islam’s five pillars, and every financially and physically capable Muslim must perform it at least once. This year, Hajj rituals will begin on June 4 or 5.
