Dhaka, May 4, 2025 : Thana Police arrested 30 individuals, including professional snatchers and others involved in various criminal activities, during a special operation conducted in different areas under Mohammadpur Thana in the capital.
The arrested individuals are: Mithun Kumar (47), Jalil Ratan (38), Sabbir (23), Liton (32), Sohel Mithu (42), Imon (21), Alex Tuhin (21), Foysal (25), Salam (32), Sohan (38), Enayet (45), Sattar (45), Sohel Rana (25), Niloy (17), Mehedi (16), Nur Islam (16), Sumid (20), Rabbi (23), Zahid (21), Kawsar (19), Ismail (23), Samir (19), Sijan (18), Rabbi (20), Rezaul (42), Nur Alam (45), Azgar Ali (38), Tofayel (50), Hasim (40), and Ashraful (30).
The operation was carried out on Sunday, May 4, under the overall guidance of Tejgaon Division’s Deputy Police Commissioner Md. Ibne Mizan, with supervision from the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Assistant Commissioner (AC), and the Officer-in-Charge of the thana as part of regular patrols and operations.
According to Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of DMP’s Media and Public Relations Division, the arrested include professional snatchers, warrant-listed fugitives, and individuals involved in other crimes. Necessary legal actions have been taken against the accused, and they have been sent to court.
