Dhaka, May 31, 2025 : An allegation has surfaced against Robiul Islam Nayan, the secretary of Jubo Dal Dhaka South, for allegedly manhandling a hawker while trying to maintain order during a youth gathering in Dhaka’s Naya Paltan. A video related to the incident has gone viral on social media.
Addressing the issue on Facebook, Nayan expressed regret, stating, “Despite the relentless efforts of Jubo Dal Dhaka South leaders to avoid any untoward situation, an unfortunate incident occurred where a hawker was unintentionally pushed while managing a large crowd of activists. As the secretary of Jubo Dal Dhaka South, I should have been more cautious, and I will ensure greater care in the future.” He apologized for the incident.
In another Facebook post, Nayan emphasized his deep loyalty to BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman and described the party’s activists as his “brothers in spirit.” He said, “We are a family bound by love, discipline, and mutual understanding. Our relationship is stronger than that of siblings.” He highlighted that BNP activists have stood firm on the streets for the party and the country despite facing rain, storms, bullets, and tear gas.
